Inspirations

This is the moodboad I created involving all the initial ideas i had for my music magazine, some of the bands shown don't fall under the same category however this is okay becasue this simply means that i can go one way or another. The categories that are in the moldboard are synth pop and indie. The target audience i am aiming for is teenagers aged between 16 and 19, i think the choices of the genres fit this category quite nicely because teenagers ten to listen to this a lot other than pop or chart music.

These are the fonts i like the most and believe that they will fit in with my theme. They also correspond with the colour schemes that i have chosen to use, also i can change the font color to match the palette.

This music video represents the genre that I have chosen to focus my magazine on this is. The style of music I listen to therefore I can relate to it. I feel this could appeal to the target audience of teenagers aged 16+

The presentation above shows my research on Millum and Ferguson and their facial expression theories. I could therefore place this into my magazine to achieve high marks when  creating my main task.

The music magazines that inspire me are 'Rolling Stones' and 'Billboard' here is an example of a 'Rolling Stones' magazine front cover. I feel due to the dominant image being placed in black and white it is more prominent on the page. It also make the red a lot more bold and stands out towards the target audience.

I would choose IPC as an institute because it produces music magazines such as Guitar and bass and NME, also it is one of the United Kingdoms leading consumer magazine and digital publishers, with a large portfolio selling over 350 million copies each year.

This magazine uses several conventions that also get used in many other magazines, the masthead is 

featured in every magazine as it is a crucial feature that must be included it usually appears in the same place however this depends on the magazine as some mastheads get covered by the model.
